X5 Group has launched its own open source-based Salt cloud platform, which will be deployed in Selectel data centers. The company’s experts expect that the solution will help bring new technology products to market faster and reduce IT infrastructure ownership costs.

After tackling internal problems, X5 Group plans to enter the business cloud service market. The service for external customers is built on a private cloud model, which is based on open source and X5 Group’s own solutions.

Salt private cloud is deployed in two data centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
