The Pyaterochka retail chain (part of the X5 Group) is testing a system for planning the display of goods in augmented reality in a number of stores. The ARgument application is used to view the current layout scheme. With it, you need to scan a special marker placed on the shelf. After that, the color scheme of the product display is displayed on the smartphone screen. Each marker visually symbolizes one or another product category.
As a result of replacing printed layouts with AR layouts, store turnover increased by 2.8%. As X5 Group explained to ICT.Moscow, the results of piloting the technology in 30 stores in Kazan are now being summed up. The decision on scaling will be made later.
