X5 Group (manages Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel stores) by the end of this year, together with Alfa-Bank, plans to launch the X5 Bank financial service, Interfax reports.

According to the CEO of the company Igor Shekhterman, a payment system will be developed and implemented for buyers, which will be built into the applications of all X5 businesses.

X5 Group announced the launch of its payment service was in July 2021. Prior to that, the company separated the online business into a separate structure, after which it announced the search for startups that could apply their solutions to improve the efficiency of X5's operational processes.
