Yandex Cloud launched a neural network capable of communicating in 10 languages simultaneously. The neural network is based on the transformer architecture and processes introductory words simultaneously and independently of each other. Developers say the network can switch between languages any time during the conversation. The model was trained on dozens of terabytes of data from data sets of Yandex services and apps.

The company says, it is possible to create multilingual voice assistants and robots for call centers with a large flow of customers with the help of the neural network. It works with English, French, Danish, Finnish, Turkish and other languages. The model recognizes short and long phrases, names, addresses, dates and numbers. It is implemented in the Yandex SpeechKit speech synthesis and recognition service.
