Yandex.Taxi, which operates in Israel under Yango brand, has launched an e-grocery delivery service similar to Yandex.Lavka. This is the first launch of the Russian express delivery of food products abroad. This was announced by a representative of Yandex.Lavka.

The service managed by a local team in Tel Aviv is developed under Deli by Yango brand. The service includes a network of local mini-warehouses, where algorithms are used to optimize the picker’s route in the warehouse and select the optimal courier. Due to this, the products delivery time is 10-15 minutes. The automatic purchasing system of each warehouse is configured using artificial intelligence technologies.

Yandex.Lavka was launched in Moscow in 2019; currently the service includes more than 240 stores in five regions. Its revenue in the second quarter amounted to 2.3 billion rubles (equivalent to $30 million).
