Yandex plans to release a set-top box with support for its own media platform. This was reported by the Kommersant newspaper with reference to its own sources in the telecommunications market.

The company also registered a new version of the Yandex.Station smart speaker with a voice assistant, which can run on Android and Linux operating systems (OS). Yandex did not comment on its plans.

In May 2019, Yandex released a media player with the ability to connect to TVs - Yandex.Module, which had voice control via Alice. According to the company, the produced batch of the device was sold out.

Sberbank already has its own TV set-top box with voice control. It was presented by the subsidiary company SberDevices in February 2020.
