According to Kaspersky Lab, in Russia almost half of companies (45%) are already using IoT technologies, while 31% of them faced attacks on connected devices in 2019. Such incidents can have serious negative consequences, such as the disclosure of confidential information or the disruption of the integrity and uninterrupted operation of critical systems, for instance, the systems that support traffic or the supply of electricity. Globally, the number of companies using the Internet of Things in 2019 grew the most in the hotel industry (from 53% to 63%), healthcare (from 56% to 66%) and finance (from 60% to 68%).
