StartupBlink has released the 2020 edition of its Startup Ecosystem Rankings Report, which encompasses 1,000 cities and 100 countries across the world.Moscow entered top 10 world cities with the best startup ecosystems, moving up four ranks compared to 2017. San Francisco was ranked first, followed by New York and London. Some other Russian cities increased their positions in the rating, for example, Irkutsk (+61), Perm (+57) and Saint-Petersburg (+52). In the overall rating Russia moved up 3 positions and took the 15th position.

When compiling the rating, experts took into consideration the number or startups (any company applying innovative solutions), accelerators, coworking spaces, events for entrepreneurs and also the country’s business climate.
