According to a survey by the Worki portal (part of Mail.ru Group) and the research company ResearchMe among 3,250 users of the Russian segment of the internet 39%of job seekers in Russia try to find a new job through social networks.
Among the ways to find a new job, 66% of respondents highlighted using websites with ads, and 51%of those surveyed said that they are trying to find a job through friends or acquaintances.
Moreover, the higher the age of the applicant, the more likely he or she will look for a job by an acquaintance, according to the survey. From the age of 45, the share of those who use social networks to find a job drops to 35%.
