Smart Metering comprises next-generation meters, upper-level systems that collect, process and analyze information received from metering points and transmit data to other information systems of the enterprise; advanced networks that transmit large amounts of information both from supplier to user, and vice versa.

The system provides automated energy metering and control over access to metering devices, allows to control energy consumption parameters in real time (changing tariff, reducing output power, disconnecting customer due to debt), notifying customers about payment arrears, new tariffs and services of the operator, failures and events; the system also analyzes energy consumption in a period of time.
