The system is built into the on-board electrical system of the truck and is connected to a common diagnostic line. The tracker reads the state of operational parameters and transfers the collected data via cellular communication to the service center. A fuel level sensor is installed in the fuel tank to prevent unauthorized handlings of gasoline.

The system provides improved performance of the car by monitoring the driver. In the future, ITIS-KAMAZ will be able to remotely diagnose and evaluate the remaining vehicle life. If a breakdown occurs on the road, the system will assess the failure scale and recommend the driver to wait for the tow truck, go for repair independently or finish the route.
