The platform provides training in design, marketing, programming, management and business. The courses consist of a step-by-step video tutorial, answers to questions from mentors, homework, personal consultations from course teachers and exam papers.

Skillbox platform is based on machine learning - clustering, classification and regression modules. Each module controls a particular area - creation of adaptive courses, gamification, generation of e-diplomas, motivation system, development of flexible skills and other areas. For example, the platform can record when a student comes and leaves the lesson, where the training video was stopped, and whether a student uses the rewind function. Based on this information, the system estimates how long it will take each student to master the block and what task to offer to the student.
