Biometric face recognition system
The system is used in crowded places to detect faces in real time, maintain a structured catalogue of photos and related information, search by photos and related information in the catalogue and in the video archive.
Vizir can simultaneously identify faces of people in the crowd that come in sight of the camera, even when the physical characteristics of the face change (ageing, presence or absence of beard and mustache, change in skin color). When applied at the airport, it can recognize a passenger by his face along the entire travel route, recognize him at the check-in desk, open passages to the high-level lounges, provide passage through the turnstiles at the boarding gate.
The system is a hardware and software complex based on a distributed client-server architecture. The system includes the following components: IP-cameras, “Vizir.RTS” video processing server, central server, database and face comparison server, “Vizir.Integration server” and automated workplaces.
IP cameras form a video stream, which is transmitted to the Vizir.RTS video processing server, where face detection is performed. The detected faces are sent via data network to the data processing center to the database and face comparison servers.
