Telecom-company DMTEL has compiled a rating of the quality of communication services of the "Big Four" operators in Moscow. For this, from October 11 to November 2, it carried out measurements on a route with a length of about 3892 km and used for comparison the ratings of operators, calculated on the basis of integral assessments of the quality of services.

Operators were assessed in the “mobile Internet” and “voice communications” categories on a 1000-point scale. According to the final estimates, the places were distributed as follows:

  • first place - Beeline (811 points);
  • second place - MegaFon (783 points);
  • third place - MTS (777 points);
  • fourth place - Tele2 (655 points).

The authors of the rating note that Beeline has the best quality of telephone communications and the Internet. MegaFon is slightly behind the leader in the quality of voice services. In turn, MTS is less than other of the presented operators inferior to Beeline in terms of the quality of the Internet. Tele2, in the opinion of DMTEL analysts, "is noticeably inferior to competitors in every category of services."

According to TelecomDaily, the average Internet speed in the Moscow metro at the end of 2021 decreased by 4.5 Mbit/s, to 31.6 Mbit/s. It was also reported that MTS traffic in the Moscow metro grew by 70% and as of December 1 it reached 100 TB.
