The Hover project carried out the first tests of unmanned flying taxis in Luzhniki, Moscow.

The tests took place in a closed arena, since the flights of passenger drones in Moscow are still prohibited. The founder of the project, Alexander Atamanov, expects that by the spring of this year, the Moscow government will open a test area for testing this type of drones on the territory of Skolkovo, and then tests will be conducted in the open air. By this time, it is planned to finalise the design of the machine, completely removing the propellers from it.

It is also planned to test a digital centralised control system for unmanned drones, which requires coverage of 5G communication networks. Serial production of the first unmanned flying taxis is expected in 2021, and the possibility of their flights in the city is planned to be provided in 2023-2025.
