The pilot zone will appear in the next six months. MTS will provide services based on the created infrastructure. Users are expected to receive Internet speed of up to 1 Gbit/s, as well as seamless data transfer while maintaining speed and quality in the region.

In March 2021, MTS, using Huawei equipment, launched a pilot 5G user network in the 4.9 GHz band in 14 locations in Moscow. In September, the company increased the number of pilot zones in the city to 19.
