Face Pay, which is currently being tested in the Moscow metro, is nominated for the international TechFest awards in two nominations at once, Best Use of AI Technology and Transport Infrastructure Champion.
In the finals, the developers will have to compete with international projects that have presented AI solutions in the field of construction management, assessment of the state of pipe infrastructure, maintenance of railway tunnels, etc. Winners will be determined in early December at the annual New Civil Engineer's TechFest conference in London.

In early August 2021, Moscow Metro launched a pilot version of Face Pay system, available for 1000 passengers at the stations of the Filevskaya line of the Moscow Metro. The technology will be gradually introduced on other lines and will become available at all stations by the end of 2021.
