Moscow has moved up 16 places in the Smart City Index

The Russian capital has moved up 16 places in the global ranking of smart cities, compiled by the Swiss business school IMD and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Moscow is ahead of such cities as Brussels, Paris and Tokyo.

The top 3 cities are Singapore, Helsinki and Zurich. New York was ranked 10th, London - 15th.

The ranking includes 109 cities, in each of them 120 residents were interviewed. Their opinions were taken into account to assess the level of urban digitalization.

Compared to 2019, the residents of Moscow rated the impact of digitalization on their lives higher in almost all of the indicators. Among other things, the high level of online services facilitating business, online employment services and doctor appointment services was mentioned.
