The Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI), a subordinate to the Ministry of Digital Development, has chosen the Scientific Research Institute of Radio. M.I. Krivosheeva (NIIR) to carry out R&D on 5G and 6G.
According to the procurement documentation, the first round of R&D includes necessary a study of new methods and test tools for wireless communication devices based on 5G, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of using the 60 GHz band for the infrastructure of IoT.
As part of the second research project, the vendor will conduct research on promising wireless communication technologies, intelligent antenna systems, as well as quantum communication technologies. One of the topics announced are communication networks of the sixth generation.
