Rosseti Moscow Region, jointly with Arsenal-Technology, have started to place telecom operators’ base stations in underground bunkers. They will be located in the secured zones of transformer substations, only the mounting support with the group of antennas will remain visible.
CNews clarifies that the underground communication bunker is made of stainless steel in a reinforced concrete shell with a two-layer bitumen-latex waterproof coating. The facility is equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation, an alarm system, intrusion protection and a video surveillance camera.
Currently, two facilities are being developed in the center of Moscow. The completed facility will be a site that meets the needs of a smart city, will support 3G, 4G, 5G, IoT standards and be leased to telecom operators.
