Rostelecom Reports Revenue Growth by 5% in Q3 2021

Rostelecom has released its financial and operational results for the third quarter of 2021. The company's revenue increased by 5% compared to the same period last year to $1.9 billion (141.2 billion rubles). At the same time, the net profit of the state operator for the reporting period decreased by 29%, to $118.6 million (8.4 billion rubles).

Rostelecom's revenue for the first nine months of this year increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2020, to $5.8 billion (411.8 billion rubles). Net profit increased by 17%, reaching $438 million (31.4 billion rubles).

According to the Financial Director of Rostelecom Sergei Anokhin, the company maintains its forecast for 2021 to ensure revenue growth at the level of at least 5%.

Revenue by segment:

  • Digital services - a 5% decline to $260 million (18.4 billion rubles);
  • Fixed telephony - a 10% decline to $169.5 million (12.03 billion rubles);
  • Television services - an increase of 5% to $139.3 million (9.87 billion rubles);
  • Wholesale services (including VPN, interconnection and traffic transmission, infrastructure services, and lease of channels) - an increase of 2% to $268 million (19.08 billion rubles).

Earlier, it was reported that Rostelecom acquired a 50.01% stake in BFT-Holding, which develops software and design solutions for the public sector and business.
