By the end of the year, at least one hundred Russian companies in the field of AI will presumably join the code.

The Code will become a recommendatory document on ethics for all participants in the AI market, including government, business, Russian and foreign developers. It establishes general ethical principles and standards of conduct that can guide participants in the field of artificial intelligence. Among the basic principles spelled out in the code are a human-centered approach to the development of technology and the safety of working with data.

The Russian code was created by the AI Alliance jointly with the Analytical Center under the Russian government and the Economic Development Ministry. Joining the code is voluntary.
