Sberbank and Rostelecom have agreed to co-develop digital identification technologies, including biometrics.

The new joint venture, Digital Identification Technologies,  will design, develop, and replicate identification technologies to promote digital transformation across different economy sectors. The preliminary agreement of intent covering the establishment of a joint venture was signed by the chairman of the board of Sberbank, German Gref, and the president of Rostelecom, Mikhail Oseevsky.
