Scientists from Samara University have created NetTestBox, a system for monitoring the quality of data transmission. It helps to evaluate the main technical characteristics of the networks that form the Internet.
The system also helps to track data leaks and see the part of the traffic comes through foreign channels. The developers say that if Western Internet connection diagnostic systems become unavailable to Russian users, NetTestBox will be able to replace them.
The system that consists of five devices is being tested at the moment. There are two analogues of the system in the world - one American and one European.
