Tele2 and Plintron to Launch Virtual Operators in Moscow

Tele2 plans to develop the segment of virtual operators in Russia in conjunction with the Plintron MVNA platform, the solutions of which are used by over 140 MVNOs around the world). The first agreements on the start of new projects in Moscow and St. Petersburg have already been concluded, they are being implemented in the Tele2 network.

Tele2 currently serves over 20 virtual operators. At the end of 2020, the number of its customers increased by 28% compared to 2019 and exceeded 4.8 million. Sergey Volkov, Director for Development of the Segment of Virtual Operators and Partnerships at Tele2, suggested that “by 2025, MVNO customers will account for 15% of the mobile communication ".
