Only 21% of IT professionals are women. The most popular profession is a developer: 3 out of 4 respondents are programmers. 6% of respondents called themselves testers, and a little more than 2% are engaged in project management.

The team managing production and supply chains of the SAP software developer, which had withdrawn from Russia, has moved to the former Russian division of Accenture. Now Accenture works in Russia under the Axenix brand.

 
 After the Axenix team grew, the company created the center of expertise for the development of the In.Plan integrated planning platform. It will be headed by Sergey Ulanov, who had been working at SAP for 20 years and led the team of developers before leaving. Team of SAP Moves to the Former Russian Division of Accenture

The companies of Yandex, VK, Ozon, MTS, Beeline and AmberData (controlled by the National Media Group) plan to become advertising data operators, which are required to send information about all campaigns in Runet to Roskomnadzor starting from the fall of 2022. Previously, it was expected that advertising market players would be able to independently transfer this information (the cost of contracts, the timing of campaigns, etc.) directly or through advertising data operators. However, a new set of amendments was adopted in July, allowing the data to be transmitted through advertising data operators only.

 
 According to the RBC sources, Yandex and VK have confirmed plans to become advertising data operators. MTS expects that the company’s subsidiary will be included in the list of applicants for this status. Ozon also confirmed the plans to create its own operator. AmberData is “working on theoperator creation”.

 
 According to Stanislav Danilov, a partner at the Pen & Paper law firm, working through an advertising data operator allows the advertiser to avoid the risks of incomplete or inaccurate data provision. Roskomnadzor said that it “does not have the authority to set prices for the services of advertising data operators”. At the same time, there are no instructions or recommendations concerning the costs of advertising data operator services in the law and in the already adopted bylaws.

Six Russian Companies Plan to Become Advertising Data Operators

The government has developed a draft decree, which specifies the requirements for top managers responsible for cybersecurity in government bodies, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, state funds, state corporations, strategic enterprises and organizations, and subjects of critical information infrastructure (banks, telecom operators, etc.).

 
 The person responsible for cybersecurity would be required to have a higher specialized education “no lower than a specialist’s or master’s degree” or undergo professional retraining. He must understand “the impact of information technology on the work of an organization”, techniques of building information systems, including systems with limited access, ensure the security of company networks, know “the main security threats, the prerequisites for their occurrence and possible ways of their implementation”, as well as their consequences, etc. Such an employee will be liable for violation of his/her duties, action or inaction leading to an unacceptable incident, and disclosure of state secrets.

 
 Experts interviewed by Kommersant say that, considering the staff shortage, it will not be easy to find suitable specialists. According to HeadHunter, by June, 24% more job vacancies in the field of information security were posted on the portal than in 2021 (3.2 thousand in 2022 and 2.6 thousand in 2021), while currently 14.3 thousand CVs are posted on the portal. According to representatives of the service, there are four job applicants per vacancy, which indicates a shortage of specialists.

 
 According to Maria Sigaeva, director of educational programs and projects at Positive Technologies, on average, the annual demand for information security specialists is estimated at 18,000-18,500 thousand people, excluding managers. However, only 14,000 specialists with higher education in cybersecurity graduate annually.

The development team of SberDevices is creating an autonomous infrastructure for the Sber smart home platform. The infrastructure will be independent of foreign services and is based on the company’s own cloud. Specialists also planned to develop a line of devices with new firmware for stable operation.

 
 New devices will still be controlled using Salute virtual assistants and Salute application. The key feature of the update will be a complete transition to SberCloud servers located in different regions of the country. The first half of the Top 50 ranking also includes developers of such programming languages as C#, PHP, Kotlin, Python, Golang (Go), Objective-C and Ruby. 1C developers became seventh in the ranking, and 1C Bitrix developers occupied thirtieth place.</li>
	<li>In addition to specialists in specific programming languages, the top twenty most in-demand jobs were data analysts, support specialists, product analysts, system administrators, system analysts, business analysts, technical support engineers, CRM analysts and product managers.</li>
	<li>Employers are often ready to ensure remote development and implementation of IT products: jobs in this area accounted for 58% of the total. MADE Big Data Academy by Mail.ru Group and the online recruiting platform hh.ru have compiled profiles of Russian experts in data analytics and machine learning.

	<li>In 2019, there were 9.6 times more job vacancies in data analytics, and 7.2 times more vacancies in machine learning than in 2015.</li>
	<li>The most popular skill is Python. It is required in 45% of data science vacancies and in half (51%) of vacancies in machine learning.</li>
	<li>Employers want data scientists to know SQL (23%), be proficient in data mining (19%), mathematical statistics (11%), and know how to work with big data (10%).</li>
	<li>More than half (65%) of vacancies in data analytics and exactly half of vacancies in machine learning are in Moscow. Saint Petersburg is in the second place - 15% of vacancies in data analytics and 18% of vacancies in machine learning.</li>
