Svyaznoy reports that at the end of the 2nd quarter of 2021, 524 thousand 5G-enabled devices worth $625 million (43.6 billion rubles) were sold in Russia. Thus, sales for the period under review increased in quantitative terms by 14 times, in monetary terms - by 20 times. The average price for 5G smartphones increased by 29% to $1139 (83,300 rubles).

5G smartphones are actively conquering the market - according to the results of the 2nd quarter in Russia, they already account for 8% of sales of smartphones in quantitative terms, and about 30% in monetary terms. At the same time, it is important to note that sales of 5G smartphones started in Russia only in March 2020, in the 2nd quarter of 2020 the sales of these devices accounted for only 0.5% in quantitative terms, and 2% in monetary terms.

In general, from January to June 2021, 1,045,000 5G-enabled smartphones worth $1.22 billion (90.4 billion) rubles were sold. And from March to December 2020 people in Russia bought 590 thousand 5G devices worth a total of $652 million (48.8 billion rubles).
