The study was conducted with the support from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation within the framework of the “Human Resources for the Digital Economy” federal project. The compiles of the ranking analyzed more than 7,500 current job vacancies published on job search platforms HeadHunter, Superjob and Career.Habr.

  • The most in-demand job is Java developer - 11.7% of the total number of jobs vacancies in “remote work” IT sector. The first half of the Top 50 ranking also includes developers of such programming languages as C#, PHP, Kotlin, Python, Golang (Go), Objective-C and Ruby. 1C developers became seventh in the ranking, and 1C Bitrix developers occupied thirtieth place.
  • In addition to specialists in specific programming languages, the top twenty most in-demand jobs were data analysts, support specialists, product analysts, system administrators, system analysts, business analysts, technical support engineers, CRM analysts and product managers.
  • Employers are often ready to ensure remote development and implementation of IT products: jobs in this area accounted for 58% of the total. There is a high demand for remote developers (more than 15 jobs in the field of programming in different languages), specialists in game design, machine learning, 3D modeling and artificial intelligence are also in demand.
