This list of the most costly issues also includes: misuse of IT resources by employees, non-compliance with internal information security policies, and DDoS attacks. According to the survey conducted by IBM Security, on average, each data breach costs companies $4.24 million.

    Currently, there are no unified statistics on the number of cases of cyber fraud and the amount of damage to companies and citizens in Russia. According to Sergey Zolotukhin, computer forensics coach of Group-IB, the information collected by departments often does not coincide and does not show the whole picture due to the fact that the victims of the ransomware programs do not always report attacks and ransom payments, and also refuse to write police reports.

    The calculation methods also differ. Ekaterina Kilyusheva, head of the Information Security Analytics Research Group of Positive Technologies, notes that one company can count mass phishing mailings as one attack, and another company - as several separate attacks, and both of these approaches will be correct.

More than a Third of Russian Companies Face Targeted Attacks in 2021

    The technique, where surveillance cameras with built-in “on-board” video analytics modules are responsible for primary video processing before sending it to the server, is called “edge analytics” - product director of Ivideon, a cloud surveillance systems developer, Zaur Abutalimov explains. In general, experts mentioned both advantages and disadvantages of this approach.

    Nevertheless, the company representatives add that the quality of processing by built-in video analytics algorithms “on board” the camera can still be higher, and it can be feasible to use the system if narrow data transmission channels are available, or during short-term projects, for example, at public events (festivals, concerts, etc. etc.).

    Market participants mentioned information security risks, the inability to conduct retrospective video analysis, the use of video from one camera to detect different types of incidents, and the necessity to use the products of certain vendors among the main disadvantages of using cameras with computing modules.

<p>Antipiracy Group-IB monitors over 110, 000 resources in Russian and English languages – from torrent trackers and streaming services to groups on social networks and pirate websites in dark web. The system identifies the end owners of the resources and contacts them directly.</p>

<p>The moderator account of Vkontakte, Kinostok.tv and over 40 other major websites allows you to block illegal content on these websites at the push of the button. The close collaboration with managing internet organization and Group-IB’s reputation among foreign hosting providers and domain name registrars allows you to instantly block dangerous resources in various jurisdictions.</p>

<p>The system uses the technology digital fingerprinting that compares digital copies against an entire set of parameters and detect pirated content even if it bears insignificant changes.</p>
