ComNews Research: Russian VSAT market grew by 9% in 2020

The volume of the Russian VSAT market in physical terms in 2020 increased by 9%. The total number of stations of the 21 surveyed operators was 137.1 thousand compared to 125.6 thousand a year earlier. This is evidenced by data from ComNews Research.

The leaders in the number of VSAT stations in Russia in 2020 were JSC RTKomm.RU - 30 thousand, the AltegroSky group of companies (LLC Astra Internet, CJSC Race Telecom, CJSC Settelecom, CJSC Moskovsky Teleport) - 25.8 thousand, JSC “CB“ Iskra ”- 21.8 thousand, which account for more than half of the serviced VSAT stations.

The largest gains came from Konnect, Russia (Eutelsat Networks LLC) (+64%), Gazprom Space Systems (+43%), RTKomm.ru (+10%), Raduga-Internet (+ 9%), StarBlazer (+8%).
