Two fintech companies — Tinkoff Business and Lighthouse — have developed a solution for automating operations with digital financial assets that will be able to work on the basis of nominal accounts.

 
 Data transmission between the Lighthouse platform and the bank will be carried out using the Tinkoff API protocols. The nominal accounts will ensure the fulfillment of obligations and make the process of issuing and transferring digital financial assets transparent. The platform will allow large and medium-sized businesses to raise funds from investors through the use of blockchain technology.

 
 The Lighthouse company will become the operator of the information system for the issuance of digital financial assets. The company is included in the relevant register of the Central Bank.

Tinkoff Business and Lighthouse Developed a Platform for Operations with Digital Financial Assets

At the end of May, Alfa-Bank registered Alfa-Digital, an IT company. The company will become an IT development center of the bank, and in the future the new company will become a provider of digital solutions for external customers.

 
 About 1.2 thousand employees, including developers, analysts and other staff, will be transferred to Alfa-Digital by the beginning of 2023. In the future, the team can grow to 5,000 specialists (in total, Alfa-Bank has 7.1 thousand employees working in IT and Digital areas). The bank also plans to transfer part of its software solutions to the register of Russian software, and then transfer them to the balance of Alfa-Digital.

 
 Special of the bank explain that “the transfer to an IT company will also enable employees to receive benefits from the state.” Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank, Sovcombank, Tinkoff Bank already have similar IT companies.

 Earlier, the Central Bank stated that the regulator supported the recognition of banks as IT companies. Over the past three months, the number of IT companies in the register of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media has grown by 40% and exceeded 26,000.

Russian ecosystems saw an increase in the number of users in their super-apps over the past month. The daily active users of the Tinkoff super-app increased by 15% compared to the previous month. Sberbank has also seen an influx in users. The company’s spokesperson clarified that “today, the monthly number of users of the mobile app has reached almost 75 million”.

 
 Nikita Lomov, the head of the analytical department of the Fintech Association, noted that Russian services will be in higher demand due to the withdrawal of a number of foreign companies from the market. At the same time, individual ecosystems have developed together foreign services that no longer work in Russia. In this regard, MTS reported that they were “accelerating the integration of Russian and foreign partners into their own ecosystem”.

Russian Ecosystems Announce Growth in the Number of Users in Past Month

Tinkoff Bank has integrated its anti-fraud system Tinkoff Call Defender, which recognizes spoofing of official bank phone numbers, into Yandex's number identification service. As a result, customers of any telecom operators, including regional ones, will receive notification of calls from possible fraudsters, according to the press service of Tinkoff.

 
 The bank explained that when a customer’s phone receives a call, the Yandex identifier checks whether the number belongs to the bank's group. After that, Tinkoff Call Defender establishes whether the call was actually initiated by the bank. If the authenticity confirmation is not completed, the platform records the substitution of the number and informs the CLI and the customer about it.

 
 If the customer answers such a call, the bank receives a notification about this. As Tinkoff clarified, this is necessary in order to use the bank’s own anti-fraud technologies to protect client funds. In particular, the bank may suspend atypical operations with credit cards until the circumstances are clarified.

Tinkoff Integrates its Anti-Fraud Platform into the Yandex Identifier

Russia’s biggest neobank Tinkoff Bank uses a neural network to identify atypical customer interactions with their smartphone in search of any fraud activity.

 
 The neural network will analyze a number of factors, including the angle at which the user holds the smartphone and the features of tactile interaction with the screen. In case of atypical actions or suspicious activity, the bank can block the operation in the mobile application.

 
 Now the technology is being tested on Tinkoff Bank employees and, as the company says, does not use biometric and other personal data. For this reason, it is not required to obtain consent from the client to collect data, the Tinkoff Bank noted.
