Virtual transport payment card
A virtual transport payment card allows you to pay for travel with tickets registered on the Troika and loaded into the wallet of smartphones with an NFC module.
You can pay for travel at terminals that accept contactless bank cards, in the metro, city buses, trams, and electric buses, Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), Moscow Central Circle (MCC).
In August 2021, the Moscow Department of Transport, together with VTB, Google and Mastercard, began open testing of a virtual card for users of Android smartphones with an NFC module. Testing is also underway for the Samsung Pay payment service.
The card can be issued in a special version of the Moscow Metro mobile application, available to focus group participants (as of August 2021).
