Taking into account the increase in funding, the total amount of grant aid this year can increase to $256.3 million (21.5 billion rubles).

 
 Extra funds will be distributed among three foundations:

Almost half of residents in Moscow (46%) use at least one paid subscription. Most often they pay for watching movies and series (28%), and for listening to music (22%). 16% of citizens are subscribed to services within an ecosystem. These conclusions were announced by The experts of the IT Department of Moscow drew such conclusions on the basis of a <a href="https://moscowanalytics.ru/index/research/217" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">survey</a> of more than 1,000 residents of Moscow from 18 to 65 years old who use the Internet.

 
 Among niche subscriptions for goods and services, experts also highlighted subscriptions for bank transfers without fees. 14% of respondents use such services. Another 9% pay for discounts in stores every month, 7% pay for goods delivery subscriptions.

 
 More than a third of users (36%) value ad-free options when they sign up for paid subscriptions. For 32% or respondents the convenience of getting services is important. At the same time, the quality, exclusivity of content and the absence of free analogues are not always the main reasons for subscribing.

 
 Almost half of the respondents (45%) have canceled their subscription at least once. Most often, people cancel the subscription when they no longer need the service. This was experienced by 40% of the respondents.

Around Half of Moscow Residents Use Paid Subscriptions for Digital Services

According to Qrator Labs, the intensity of DDoS attacks has decreased in Russia. A decrease in activity has been observed since March 9-10. The attacks on the websites of Russian companies have increased since February 24. The most elaborate and massive attack in terms of the number of simultaneously used devices was observed on March 7 - more than 3.5 million devices were used.

 
 According to Alexander Lyamin, the founder of Qrator Labs, “the observed attacks are also characterized by the fact that they are Application Layer (L7) attacks, the traffic of which resembles the activity of ordinary users”. Government Approves the Program for the Autonomous Vehicles Regulatory Sandbox 

The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has proposed allocation of $138.4 million (14 billion rubles) from the Reserve Fund to support IT companies this year. The money in the form of grants will be distributed by three foundations:

<ul>
 <li>The Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere (the Bortnik Foundation) <a href="https://regulation.gov.ru/projects#npa=125774" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">will receive</a> an additional subsidy of $19.7 million (2 billion rubles) in 2022 to support projects of small enterprises in the field of digital solutions</li>
 <li>The Foundation for Development of the Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies (the Skolkovo Foundation) <a href="https://regulation.gov.ru/projects#npa=125765" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">will receive</a> extra $11.8 million (1.2 billion rubles) for “balancing the consequences of restrictive measures”.</li>
 <li>It<a href="https://regulation.gov.ru/projects#npa=125768" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> is planned</a> to allocate $106.8 million (10.8 billion rubles) to the Russian Foundation for Information Technology Development (RFRIT).</li>
</ul>

 
 Earlier, it <a href="https://www.interfax.ru/business/828120" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">was reported</a> that the Russian radio electronics segment in 2022-2024 could receive extra 900 billion rubles. The funds will be provided to the Advanced Technologies Foundation, the Industrial Development Foundation, Rostec, etc.

Ministry of Digital Development Proposes Allocation of $134 Million to Support IT Companies in 2022

X5 Group reports that digital business growth was 92.9% yoy in its <a href="https://www.x5.ru/ru/PublishingImages/Pages/Media/News/X5_Q4_2021_Financial_Results_RUS.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">financial report</a> for Q4 and 12 months of 2021. Among the factors that influenced the performance, the company highlighted:

 <li>growth in demand for online services;</li>
 <li>increase in the number of new clients of online services;</li>
 <li>expansion of the express delivery network and Vprok.ru to new regions;</li>
 <li>expansion of the 5Post delivery network;</li>
 <li>emergence of new e-commerce partners of 5Post;</li>
 <li>acquisition of Mnogo Lososya (a food tech company).</li>
