Research: Online ad spending fell 1% in the first half of the year

According to the estimates of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (AKAR), Internet advertising expenses in the first half of the year decreased by 1% and amounted to 108-109 billion rubles (roughly $1,4 billion). In the second quarter, they decreased by almost 9%, to 53 billion rubles ($700 million).

In general, the income of advertisers in April-June decreased compared to the same period last year by 22%, to 90-91 billion rubles. ( $1,2 billion). In the first half of the year - by 9%, to 205-207 billion rubles. ($2,7 billion).
