Russian representatives of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) have begun to cooperate more often with online platforms in the e-commerce segment. Last year this figure rose to 28%. For comparison, in 2019 the share of such entrepreneurs was 16%, writes Kommersant with reference to Ekaterina Trofimova, partner of the Deloitte CIS Risk Management Department.

 
 At the same time, in the third quarter of 2021, the share of turnover of third-party sellers on Yandex.Market was 78%, which is 18 pp higher than last year's figures. Ozona - at the level of 66.7%, an increase of 15.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

 
 The expert, referring to foreign experience, claims that the marketplace has become the most common and promising form of ecosystems work with small and medium-sized businesses. Online platforms are increasingly adapting work formats and products for SMEs. For small businesses, partnering with ecosystems can help reduce the cost of doing business, as well as open up access to new markets and customer categories.

Russia plans to start issuing electronic passports from January 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

 
 The Moscow region, Moscow and Tatarstan were selected as pilot regions for the introduction of such passports. It will also be possible to enter information about other documents in the passport memory, for example, TIN, SNILS or driver's license number.

 
 Requirements for the procedure for registration and issuance are being worked out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development, government agencies and "other bodies and organizations," said Valentina Kazakova, head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

 
 According to her, the number of electronic passports issued at the initial stage will be at least 100 thousand copies.

In 2021, more than 100 startups applied for participation in the programs of 5G centers of MTS (MTS Startup Hub). As the company told ICT.Moscow, based on the results of selection and revision, six projects were selected for piloting and implementation in MTS and client companies, including private 5G networks.

Rostelecom acquired a full share (100%) of TVE-Telecom, a provider of an MVNE platform that allows creating virtual mobile operators, as well as managing their products and services. The deal amounted to $23 million (1.7 billion rubles).

 
 Rostelecom clarified that the deal will increase the growth rate of MVNO business "by creating a single circuit on the basis of TVE-Telecom for the development of a virtual environment managed by Tele2 (owned by Rostelecom), regardless of third-party solutions and third parties."

 
 TVE-Telecom will become part of Rostelecom as a subsidiary. It will become a competence center for the development and launch of new MVNO projects.

Rostelecom Acquires MVNE Platform Provider TVE-Telecom

The Ministry of Digital Development proposed to provide tax incentives to IT companies that are created by "digital residents", similar to measures to support Russian IT players, writes RBC.

 
 Such a mechanism was previously launched in a number of other countries. It allows the recipient to issue a digital ID card that can be used when dealing with banks and other organizations. At the same time, the document does not provide such persons with a residence permit, citizenship and tax residency.

 
 The introduction of digital residency in Russia was discussed as part of the second package of measures to support the IT industry. The government instructed the Ministry of Finance to prepare proposals for the implementation of this mechanism.

 
 Additional measures for the implementation of digital residency include:

 <li>expansion of privileges in the taxation of intellectual property;</li>
 <li>amendments to the legislation governing the process of registration of remote work under an employment agreement from abroad;</li>

Yandex closed a deal to buy Uber's stake in Yandex.Eats, Lavka, Delivery, as well as in the business of unmanned vehicles and rovers. The total amount of the agreement was $1 billion.

 
 The deal took place in two stages. During the first, Yandex increased its share in the business of self-driving cars and rovers to 100%, and also bought 4.5% of shares in the MLU B.V. joint venture from Uber. During the second stage, Yandex completely bought out Uber's shares in its services.

Omnic, a manufacturer of postamat and business automation systems, raised $407,700 (30 million rubles) in investments from Impact Capital. The assessment of the company at the end of the round was $20.3 million (1.5 billion rubles).

 
 The funds raised are planned to be used for international development, expansion of the product line and expansion of the OmniCDEK network from the current 900 checkpoints to 3 thousand.

 
 According to the founder of Impact Capital Valery Zolotukhin, in the spring of 2021 Omnic attracted $1.9 million (140 million rubles) from private investors. Prior to this, the company developed through equity capital, as well as the reinvestment of part of the profits.

Postamat Developer Omnic Raises Investment for Development 

Lanit has registered the Lanit-Development Holding company, which will focus on asset consolidation in software development and consulting. The company does not provide for operating activities.

 
 Lanit-Razrabotka will focus on two areas: investing in securities and consulting on business and management issues. The authorized capital of Lanit-Development is 1 million rubles. The share of the general director of Lanit, Philippe Gens, is 99%, another 1% belongs to his business partner Alexander Mikhailov.

 
 At the same time, Gens established three more companies: Lanit Investments-1, Lanit Investments-2 and Lanit Investments-3. According to him, they are being used for "internal restructuring." The activities indicate that they will engage in capital investment and venture capital investments.

In February 2022, Moscow is planning to launch a pilot project to pay for purchases using Face Pay app.

 
 The face recognition system will appear in one of the supermarket chains at self-checkout counters. Customers will be able to automatically receive discounts on bonus cards and purchase certain categories of goods without presenting documents, and retail will be able to analyze customer behavior and compare customer faces with a “black list” of unscrupulous customers.

 
 The project is being implemented jointly with NCR. Currently, one of the developers of the NtechLab system is looking for a partner bank and is also negotiating with credit institutions.

<a href="http://technomoscow.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Technopolis Moscow</a> took first place in the V National rating of investment attractiveness of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) of Russia. It was noted in the nomination for the best special economic zone of technology-innovative type. The rating was compiled at the end of 2020 and includes a study of the results of the work of 27 SEZs.

 
 According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov, SEZ residents increased investments in their projects by the end of 2020 by 30%, to $120,1 million (8.9 billion rubles).

 
 The top three leaders in the same nomination included Dubna and Innopolis. The top 5 also included Istok.
