Intelligent System for Reducing Traffic Jams Edge Vision Introduced in Moscow

In Moscow, QR codes have appeared on construction sites that allows seeing a 3D model of an object under construction, as well as finding additional information about the building.

 
 To use the new service, you need to point your smartphone camera at the QR code located on the information board or fence near the construction site. After clicking on the link, the object page will open, which contains an interactive 3D model of the future building, functional purpose, information about the progress of construction, the timing of work and other information, according to the project website.

 
 Online data is loaded from the digital passport of the capital construction object. At the moment, QR codes are placed on seven construction sites in Moscow:

QR Codes with 3D Models of Future Objects Introduced at Construction Sites in Moscow

Moscow-based team k806 took third place in the Wildberries hackathon finals, where 15 teams and 65 participants presented solutions for promoting goods and improving search algorithms. The prize was 100 thousand rubles.

 
 The k806 members have developed a web service for generating tags for a search query, which, based on the search results, offers similar products, and also issues navigation tags for such accompanying tasks as delivery, support, returns.

 
 The first place went to the BLM team, the second went to Cross team 2.0. In total, there were 716 participants from 75 Russian cities at the start of the competition. All winners will be able to continue cooperation with Wildberries in the future.

The Federal Tax Service (FTS) has developed a system of machine-readable powers of attorney on the blockchain. In the future, it will be able to replace the electronic circulation of powers of attorney, according to the Head of the FTS Daniil Yegorov.

The telemedicine service Doctis will buy out a controlling stake (51%) of the contract research company IPHARMA. The deal is expected to be closed by the end of 2021, its terms has not been disclosed.

Telemedicine Service Doctis to Enter Clinical Trials Market

The Ministry of Economy has developed <a href="https://regulation.gov.ru/projects#npa=122564" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">amendments</a> to the law on communications, which will allow telecom operators, with the consent of customers, to transfer information about their connections, traffic and payments to a third party.

 
 The ministry believes that the transfer of data, for example, to a bank will help fighting fraudsters. It also proposed transfering data on settlements of customers with the operator to banks for credit scoring (a system for assessing a person's creditworthiness). At the same time, the authors of the amendments suggest that the data may be of interest to tourist services to inform vacationers about events in the region.

 
 MTS said that the proposed rule "should streamline interaction with customers." Other big telecom operators MegaFon, Beeline, and Tele2 declined to comment. As of now, operators can transfer information about subscribers, which falls under the secret of communication, only through the courts. The concept of "communication secrecy" means the content of calls and correspondence, the names of customers and information about the connections, including the duration and cost.

Ministry of Economy to Allow Telecom Operators to Give Customer's Data to Third Parties

In November 2021, Nokia may sign an agreement with the Ministry of Digital Development on the localization of the production of base stations of the LTE standard in Russia. According to Interfax, negotiations on localization are also underway with Ericsson and Huawei. The ministry declined to comment.

Yandex has produced the first batch of servers made in Russia. They are based on the fourth generation server developed by the company. Similar computing systems are used in data centers to expand the Yandex.Cloud cloud platform and in Yandex supercomputers.

 
 The new servers are designed to work in large data centers. They are able to withstand temperatures of + 40 ° C. At the same time, they do not need an active cooling system. Now the servers are being tested within the company. The release of similar systems to the market under the Openyard brand is planned for next year. The production line will be located at a joint venture (JV) of Yandex, Lanita, Gigabyte and VTB.

Russian online retailer <a href="https://ict.moscow/en/cards/?tags=Ozon" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="background-color: rgb(250, 250, 250);">Ozon</a> has punlished its <a href="https://ir.ozon.com/upload/iblock/ab0/ln73e2036h8bf7rrv4wz1k5mn5hj473v.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">financial results</a> for the third quarter of 2021. The company's revenue grew to $569.5 million (41.5 billion rubles), an increase of 85% year-on-year. Sales of goods brought in $374.5 million (27.3 billion rubles), while the revenue of services was $194 million (14.2 billion rubles).

 
 Adjusted EBITDA loss increased to $345.7 million (25.2 billion rubles). This was due to the large-scale investments in infrastructure, as well as active spending on IT development, marketing, and research and development work, Ozon said in a statement.

 The total turnover from sales in the period from January to September amounted to $3.7 billion (271.4 billion rubles), a 123% spike compared to the same period in 2020. The number of orders for the first nine months of 2021 increased by 196% to 131.2 million units. In the third quarter, this figure increased by 239% (56.2 million units).

Magnit, one of Russia's largest grocery retail chains, is currently testing the industrial exoskeleton Mr. Puller from Exaurus, which compensates for about 20% of the load for an employee when lifting loads weighing up to 50 kg. Piloting of the project will last until the end of 2021.

 
 The exoskeleton weighs around 3 kg. It belongs to the passive type solutions and does not require power sources due to the accumulation and release of energy. According to Exaurus, the device solves two tasks at once: supporting the body when bending and reducing the risk of injury.

Positive Technologies has unveiled The Standoff 365, an online cyber-range platform, which allows companies can check the level of their own cyber defense.

 
 The Standoff 365 helps to conduct cyber-training on the existing infrastructure of companies. The attackers determine all the scenarios on their own. Currently, The Standoff 365 consists of a cyber range, which recreates the operational and business processes in the energy industry. Positive technologies, the company behind the solution, is planning to launch the bug bounty platform, which will help to conveniently collect reports on vulnerabilities.

 
 The Standoff 365 is currently in beta testing. Later, the platform will be available to cyber incident investigators from around the world.

Positive Technologies Presents The Standoff 365 Cyber-Range Platform

The open quantum network, which connects the laboratories of the National Research Technological University MISiS and the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI), can be expanded with a satellite segment to increase data transmission over long distances.

 
 For this purpose, a spacecraft in the CubeSat format, with dimensions of 10x10x10 cm and a mass of less than 1.3 kg, will be used to study space. Its launch is scheduled for 2023.

 
 According to professor Viktor Zadkov, Director of the RAS Institute for Spectroscopy, this technology will find application in areas with high requirements for information security. In particular, it can be used for electronic voting systems, government structures, special services, banks, financial and other organizations.

 
 “Unlike conventional communication systems, quantum networks cannot be secretly hacked and access to information transmitted through them, since any penetration into such networks leaves traces at the physical level,” professor Zadkov said.

 Moscow has become the 16th metropolis, which was included in the number of representatives of the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), created by the Singapore government to help startups to bring their products to foreign markets.
