‘Triage’ Digital System for Patient Condition Assessment is a tool that helps doctors assess the severity of incoming patients’ condition and identify those who need immediate care.
During the initial examination, medical workers enter information about the patient’s condition — temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, heart rate and saturation, as well as complaints, symptoms and anamnesis. Depending on the reason for the visit and the clinical features of the disease, the scope of these questions can be different. The initial assessment of the patient’s condition using the new algorithm takes no more than five minutes.
Four levels of medical care priority are highlighted with different colors (red, orange, yellow and green) in the digital system. Red and orange mean that the patient requires resuscitation or emergency surgery. Yellow marks patients who require observation, follow-up medical examinations and constant condition monitoring. Green color marks patients who are stable; they are routed to the diagnostic rooms of the admissions department.
The system is integrated into the single digital healthcare platform. Therefore, all data entered into the system immediately appears in the patient’s electronic medical record and becomes available to the hospital doctors.
