The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is one of the key services of the EMIAS platform, it provides online access to information about the patients’ health, their treatment in medical institutions, recommendations from specialists, and other information. EHR ensures continuity of all stages of treatment: diagnostics, outpatient and inpatient treatment, and rehabilitation.
At first, only medical workers had access to the cards. With the help of EHR, doctors receive complete information about the general state of the patient’s health: diagnosis and treatment in medical institutions, concomitant diseases and other data for making medical decisions. This was especially relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, patients got access to their electronic health records and electronic health records of their children. The service is available on the mos.ru portal and in the EMIAS.INFO mobile app. All users of the city portal with a full account can get access to their electronic health records on the date of application, and residents with standard accounts can get access to EHR within 5 working days. Access to EHR is protected by two-factor authentication with SMS confirmation.
EHR provides access to the protocols of medical examinations, the results of laboratory tests and clinical investigations (including medical images), as well as information on discharge summaries of inpatient departments, vaccination history, children’s sickness certificates, a personalized regional schedule of children’s preventive vaccinations. Users can also see the current prescriptions, sick leave certificates, information about ambulance calls, and results of examinations conducted as part of health checkups in the ‘Healthy Moscow’ pavilions. Residents can also enter past medical history, family medical history data, and information about the child’s allergy anamnesis.
