‘Our City’ Portal

description:

'Our City' is a portal helping residents report problems related to housing and communal services and landscaping — for example, uncleared snow, overflowing garbage bins, potholes on the roads and other difficulties. Its launch in 2011 helped the city's specialists get signals about problems and resolve them faster.

Residents of Moscow can report irregularities in such sections as 'My Yard', 'My House', 'My Road', 'My Park', 'Government Institutions', 'Public Transport', 'Commerce and Advertising', 'Urban Territory' regarding more than 200 issues.

The editorial staff of the portal processes messages, accepts the request or rejects it due to external reasons. After that, the application is automatically sent to the authority or organization responsible for eliminating a specific problem with the help of the fixed classifier of problematic issues. The authorities prepare the answer within 8 working days, and after moderation it is sent to the user.

Residents can control the elimination of the issue themselves. If the problem is not properly resolved, the resident who reported the problem can claim that the problem has not been fixed. The portal preserves the anonymity of residents by using pseudonyms, so that all requests are considered in an unbiased manner.
