‘Moscow Electronic School’

description:

The ‘Moscow Electronic School’ (MES) is a unified digital platform of the education sector of Moscow with a wide range of services for teachers, children and parents. The platform provides various techniques to organize educational and extracurricular activities, store and develop electronic educational content, tools, and methodological support for teachers.

In particular, the services of the platform help students check their schedule online and see current grades. Parents receive full information about the educational process, progress and school meals of their children.

The main services of the platform are:

  • ‘Electronic Diary’;
  • ‘Electronic Class Register’;
  • ‘MES Library’;
  • ‘Moskvyonok’;
  • ‘Student Portfolio’.

  • The service was launched in 2016
  • Today the MES unified digital platform covers all educational institutions subordinate to the Department of Education and Science of Moscow
  • The number of MES users in Moscow today is more than 2.8 million people, including more than 65 thousand teachers, 1.1 million students and more than 1.7 million parents
  • In the period from 2016 to 2021 about 1,500 buildings of educational institutions in Moscow were equipped with the latest digital infrastructure of ‘Moscow Electronic School’

MES became the winner of the Runet Awards 2017 in the ‘Science and Education’ category

2019

The project was included in the list of 100 major educational projects in the world at the HundrED-2019 educational summit in Helsinki

MES became the winner of the all-Russian contest of the best socio-economic development practices and initiatives of regions of Russia. The project was also recognized as the best project in the ‘Creating Conditions for Developing Information Technology Capacities of the Region’ category

2020

The project was included in the list of 100 major educational projects in the world at the HundrED-2019 educational summit in Helsinki

The project received the ‘Beneficial Practice’ diploma of ‘The City We Want to Live In’ review contest of the Assembly of Capitals and Big Cities of the CIS and the EAEU

‘Moscow Electronic School’ was included in the complex of digital projects of the Government of Moscow that received the Runet Awards 2020 in the ‘Technology vs Coronavirus category’

MES won the Digital Summit national IT competition in the ‘Best Solution for Fighting COVID-19’ nomination as part of the complex of digital solutions of the Government of Moscow.

MES became one of the winners of the 13th international review contest of urban practices of the CIS and EAEU cities ‘The City We Want to Live In’

2021

The project was included in the complex of digital projects of the Government of Moscow focused on countering the spread of coronavirus infection and won silver at the international IT World Awards 2021; the project received high scores in the ‘Team of the Year during COVID-19’ nomination

The ‘MES Diary’ mobile app became the finalist of the GESS (Global Educational Supplies and Solutions) Education Awards in the ‘Best Free App/Software Product’ nomination

The ‘MES Diary’ mobile app and virtual laboratories received the national Runet Awards 2021 in the ‘Solutions of the ‘Moscow Electronic School’ and ‘Personnel and Education’ nominations

MES won in the ‘Education Sector Innovations’ category at the international stage of the prestigious Quality Innovation Awards.

2022

MES won in the ‘Education Sector Innovations’ category at the international stage of the prestigious Quality Innovation Awards.

The ‘MES Diary’ mobile app was ranked 1st in the all-Russian contest of websites and apps Runet Ranking-2022 in the ‘State and Society’ category, and took the 2nd place in the ‘Art, Hobby and Education’ category
