‘MES Library’ Service
The ‘MES Library’ is a digital platform with educational content for school students, one of the key services of the Moscow Electronic School (MES). The service has both a web version and an app.
With the help of the service students of the city’s schools can get additional information on subjects and prepare for exams on their own online , and parents can revise the studied topics together with their children and help solidify new knowledge.
The platform contains solutions of third-party partners and teachers who are members of the MES community. Teachers can create original educational content using digital kits and upload it to the MES Library. Thanks to this feature, teachers share experiences, and students use best practices to absorb information and develop their skills. All created content undergoes professional moderation.
The ‘MES Library’ service has virtual laboratories — interactive online simulations for experiments that help learn the curriculum content in a safe way, they are also available in remote learning. In the 2021-2022 academic year, laboratories for inorganic chemistry, technology (including a virtual testing ground for testing of robots), computer science and biology were added to the service.

- Since 2019, the content of the platform has become available to users anywhere in Russia
- The portal provides more than 1.7 million units of educational content, including more than 56 thousand lesson plans, over 1 3 ,000 video lessons, more than 1,800 electronic learning aids, 347 textbooks, more than 1 8 4,000 educational interactive apps, almost 250 fiction books , and about 80,000 tests for preparing for state exams (basic state exam (OGE) and unified state exam (EGE))
- Users have access to more than 30 virtual laboratories for physics, biology, mathematics, computer science, technology, chemistry and technical drawing
- The ‘MES Library’ has more than 1.7 million pieces of ed ucational content. In 2022-2023 academic year more than 107,000 pieces of educational content from partners were added to the electronic library
- In 2022, the service was used more than 30 million times
- The content of the library was opened and viewed more than 75.2 million times in 2022
- In 2022, the ‘MES Library’ app was downloaded about 107,000 times (55,000 — on iOS devices, 52,000 — on Android devices)
- The ‘MES Library’ was visited by users from 85 regions of Russia and 93 countries of the world
- The total number of teachers developing content is more than 34,000. Of them, more than 2,500 received over 6,000 grants for contribution to the development of MES
