The Unified Medical Information Analysis System (UMIAS or EMIAS) is the key component of Moscow’s unified healthcare platform. It is a single space which covers the outpatient-polyclinic facilities, the city’s maternity hospitals, perinatal centers, palliative care facilities, and emergency and ambulance teams. The process of connecting the inpatient hospitals of Moscow to the platform will be completed soon.
EMIAS provides personalized patient management at all stages — from making a diagnosis to treatment and further patient management. The system aggregates all information about the resident’s health in a single digital framework, and the information is available to both patients and doctors online.

EMIAS was recognized as the ‘Most Ambitious Project in Healthcare’ by industry experts (at the annual Russian ‘Top 10 IT Projects for Public Sector 2013’ contest organized by the Ministry of Communications of Russia and ComNews
The system was the prize winner in the ‘Best Industry Solution’ in the field of medicine of the Global CIO ‘Project of the Year 2013’
According to the results of the ‘Data-Driven Cities’ report prepared in 2016 by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Moscow was recognized as the only examined city with a fully implemented unified management system of city polyclinics
The Department of Information Technology of Moscow received the GlobalmobileGovawards 2017 for achievements in the development of electronic mobile services for citizens by the state
EMIAS was included in the complex of digital projects of the Government of Moscow that received the Runet Prize 2020 in the ‘Technology vs Coronavirus’ nomination
The project won in the ‘Best Solution to Combat COVID-19’ nomination of the ‘Digital Summit’ competition
The ‘EMIAS.INFO’ mobile app was among the five winners of the international eHealthcare Leadership Awards and won an honorary prize in the ‘Best Platform-Oriented Application’ category
The application received high scores from the judges (equals to second place) of the international Internet of Things contest IoT Global Awards in the ‘Health and Wearable Devices’ category
Several EMIAS projects and services were included in the complex of digital projects of the Government of Moscow aimed at combating the spread of coronavirus infection and won the silver prize at the international IT World Awards 2021
The EMIAS project dedicated to the use of computer vision technologies for the analysis of medical images in radiology was awarded the Runet Prize in the ‘Medicine and Healthcare’ nomination
