Medical startup Checkme raised $380 thousand

A number of IT companies affiliated with large non-core businesses are planning to take advantage of the tax maneuver in the IT industry that entered into force on January 1. To do this, companies establish IT departments as separate legal entities: Vimpelcom-Information Technologies (VK-IT), Post Digital, MTS Artificial Intelligence Centre, MTS-IT and MTS Lab, as well as Sberbank-Service and Rusatom - digital solutions. It has not been announced whether Beeline plans to acquire control in IBS DataFort or the entire company. The Ministry of Education will spend more than 2 billion rubles (equivalent to $26.3 million) to create a state information system (GIS) called My School until 2024.  The authors of the initiative expect that the system will become a single IT platform for all Russian organisations working in the field of preschool, general, secondary vocational and additional education.  The implementation of the project is being discussed with 15 pilot regions at the moment. The average speed of broadband Internet (BBA) in Moscow in the first quarter of 2021 was 30% higher than in other regions, having almost doubled over the year, to 73 Mbps. A year earlier, the gap with the regions was 15%, and the average speed of broadband access in the capital was at the level of 40 Mbps. This is evidenced by research data from TelecomDaily. 

 
 The fastest Internet in Moscow in the first quarter was provided by MGTS (owned by MTS), the metropolitan provider 2Kom (part of the Almatel group), Rostelecom, Inetkom, as well as the Internet provider Akado. Last year, MGTS also ranked first in terms of speed, Rostelecom second, Akado third, followed by Vimpelcom and NetByNet (controlled by MegaFon). TelecomDaily: the average speed of broadband access in Moscow in the first quarter was 30% higher than in other regions

The Ministry of Digital Development has developed a draft decree of the President of the Russian Federation, in which it proposed to start issuing electronic passports to citizens in Moscow from December 1, 2021. For the rest of the Russians, this opportunity will appear "as soon as they are technically ready", but no later than July 1, 2023, follows from the document.

 
 It is anticipated that a passport with an electronic data carrier will contain biometric and other personal data of the passport holder, including a photo and papillary patterns of two fingers. The electronic passport could be used along with the printed version of the document and as the main document.

 
 As it became known at the end of January, it is <a href="https://ict.moscow/en/news/moscow-plans-to-develop-a-mobile-application-for-an-electronic-passport-by-the-end-of-2021/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">planned</a> to develop a mobile application for an e-passport by the end of 2021. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the Mobile Identifier application for an electronic passport has been created and is being certified.
