Moscow Tops the Local Rating of Smart Cities in Russia

The Ministry of Construction presented the data of the new Urban Economy Digitalization Index ("IQ of cities") for 2020. Moscow took the first place among the million-plus cities (103.25 points). The second and third places were shared by Voronezh (63.38) and Kazan (60.93), respectively.

The index contains 47 indicators and is calculated in ten areas: urban management, smart housing and communal services, innovations for the urban environment, smart urban transport, intelligent systems of public and environmental safety, tourism and services, intelligent systems of social services, economic condition and investment climate, infrastructure of communication networks.
